Madhurika Devi Dasi leads Hare Krishna kirtan, the call-and-response chanting of the maha-mantra, and she is one of the voices devotees travel to hear at kirtan festivals. She comes from Switzerland, and her kirtans have taken her from Mayapur in West Bengal to East Africa and Thailand.
In 2024 she sang at a kirtan festival in the Kanai Balai Assembly Hall in Mayapur, held in remembrance of Aindra Dasa, the devotee known for reviving 24-hour kirtan at the Krishna-Balaram Mandir in Vrindavan. She shared that festival with Janeswar Das, Madhusudan Das, Narottam Das and Rasapriya Dasi. One of the devotees there, Kripanidhi Das, put it simply: she sings from her heart.
In August 2025 she was one of the international guests at the first Kirtan Safari Mela at the Sri Sri Radha Bankebihari Mandir in Nairobi, three days of kirtan that also featured Smita Krishna Das and Sharad Bihari Das. She returned to Kirtan Safari in 2026, and in the same year led kirtan at Kirtan Mela Thailand, at the ISKCON temples in Bangkok and Pattaya.
Her kirtans are recorded and shared widely. Her YouTube channel has around 5,500 subscribers, and her most-watched kirtan has been seen 40,000 times. On Spotify she has 12 releases, from The Soul Kirtan in 2024 to The Soul Kirtan (3D Audio) in February 2026.
What stays with people is the stillness of her kirtan. She leads seated at the microphone with her eyes closed, the melody unhurried, and the hall answers each line until the whole room is singing the same prayer.
