The Story
Devotion came to Madhurika Devi Dasi not as a discovery but as a birthright — she is a fourth-generation Vaishnava, raised in a family where bhakti has been the centre of life for over a century. In June 2013, she received formal initiation from Giriraj Swami, taking the name Madhurika dasi, and deepened her commitment to kirtan as a spiritual calling.
Her chanting has been heard at the Kirtan Mela in Mayapur — ISKCON's spiritual headquarters in West Bengal, and the site of the most significant annual gathering of kirtan singers in the Vaishnava world. She has released devotional singles and EPs distributed on major streaming platforms, and continues to perform at kirtan melas and events as a form of service.
What Makes Them Special
Madhurika's kirtan carries something that cannot be acquired: lineage. Four generations of devotional practice flow through her singing — not as weight, but as ease. In a room where she is leading, the chant feels like it has always been happening.
