The Story
Rasika Dasi was born in Los Angeles and spent her early years moving across continents before finding, in the holy dhams of India — Sri Navadwip Dham and Sri Vrindavan Dham — the place she recognised as home. Introduced to traditional Vaishnava bhajans from a young age through the teachings of Gaudiya Acharyas, she found in those songs a language precise enough for what she wanted to express.
She released the album 'Kirtaniya Sada Hari' — a collection of traditional Vaishnava bhajans and the Hare Krishna Maha-Mantra, recorded in collaboration with Badahari Prabhu, Visvambara Das, and other dedicated musicians. Now based in Vrindavan, she offers kirtan as service — not performance — to devotees wherever they are.
What Makes Them Special
Rasika Dasi's kirtan is devotional in the oldest sense: it is not addressed to an audience but to God, and the listener simply enters the room. That orientation — offered rather than performed — gives her chanting a stillness that is rare in live music of any kind.
